Powder-fill gives a slightly more defined appearance, and is usually a longer-lasting option, whereas hair stroke (also called nano-brows or feathering), as the name suggests, involves cosmetic tattooing on tiny lines/strokes in a design that gives the appearance of hair. Hair-strokes alone, with no background, do require more re-touching than other methods. A good, longer lasting option can be a combination of these (combination brow) which is our most popular option. This is where we start with hair strokes and then gradually blend them into powder fill. We can discuss these options and what would give you the best result and your consultation. We normally use the machine method for hair strokes/nanobrows – as we feel that it gives the best result and is suitable for more skin types than microblading.
