It depends on the treatment being done, but as a guide, most initial eyebrow tattoo and lip blush tattoo treatments take around 3 hours, including consultation, numbing the area, and measuring/drawing up the brows or lip border. Eyeliner tattoo usually takes around 2 hours.
Retouches (on our work) will normally take between 75min – 2 hours, including numbing. If it has been a very long time between retouches, and significant fading has occurred, they may take as long as a new treatment.
Often, for eyebrows, the longest part of the appointment can be the consultation and designing/mapping of the brow shape – we always spend a significant amount of time ensuring your brows are as symmetrical and as close to perfect as possible, with your approval before any actual tattooing begins. The actual tattooing rarely takes longer than about 75 minutes (it varies between skin types, however – some are more absorbent to pigment than others). When you make your appointment, we will discuss the time needed and make sure there is plenty of time for you to ask questions and for us to discuss the look you are after. We never, ever rush this procedure – so please do ensure that you are on time for your appointment, as in the case of excessive lateness, we may not be able to proceed.
